COVID-19:  Moving Forward

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we recognize we will all come out of this with a new “norm” and a newer, safer way of doing business.

In the coming weeks and months, the government will be outlining plans to slowly re-open businesses and to allow gatherings of larger and larger groups.  We want to be a step ahead of the game and have already begun making improvements to move forward towards this new normal.

Our staff and inspectors have done an excellent job pulling together to continue to provide the same service you have come to expect from MFS.  To ensure the safety of everyone going forward we have implemented the following additional measures:

Additional cleaning/disinfecting measures have been implemented at our office location

  • Created a complete COVID-19 Compliancy Binder outlining our policies and procedures as well as details on exactly what we are doing to keep our staff safe
  • Upgraded phone system to allow staff to receive calls remotely
  • Set up remote workstations for staff to work from home

We will continue to be available to meet the needs of our valued clients and are committed to providing a safe environment for our valued staff.

Please continue to stay safe and please contact us for further information any time.

Coronavirus (COVID-19):  MFS Procedures & Updates

With the increasing news and concern regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, MFS Property Services Inc. want to ensure our clients that we are monitoring the developing situation and have resources in place to provide you continued service in any type of contingency situation. Our disaster recovery plan (BCP) is the backbone for this ability and has been tested and verified annually.

More specifically, our senior management team and various senior team members can work remotely from home or other designated locations. This includes computer & system access, staff email boxes etc.

We have taken preventive measures within our building at 8920 Woodbine Avenue in Markham as well as our office suite.  Posters have been ordered to be placed in all washrooms and all kitchens in the building. These will also be placed at all entrances into the building.   More intense cleaning and disinfecting services have been implemented with the cleaning contractor to add to their nightly service a disinfectant cleaning of all touch surfaces. This includes all door handles, push- bars, push pads, elevator buttons, etc.

In the event an employee tests positive for COVID-19, the office will be closed, and employees asked to self-quarantine for a 14-day period and work from home.

We will continue to monitor the news and any reports or requirements from the World Health Organization and local, provincial and federal governments. Our focus, dedication, and support are unwavering as we navigate these unique times. We hope you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy.
